I am currently not accepting new clients.

My goal is to help you figure out how to get through this crazy world as YOU - not as someone else wants you to be. My practice focuses on helping adults and teenagers (17+) with anxiety, worries, and intrusive thoughts. I also specialize in gender identity issues. I am available to write referral letters for folx who are seeking gender affirming hormones and surgeries. Additional problems I work with include transitions, personal growth, life-threatening illnesses, and end-of-life care.

My practice is trans-affirmative and trauma-informed. I am trained in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based therapies including Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). My personal love is teaching meditation as a pathway for working with emotions, which I share with those interested in using body-centered mindfulness skills to access a deeper inner experience.

I love writing, welding, drawing, eating, hiking, kayaking, and camping with my partner and our rescue dogs. I’m the kind of person who both loves and hates change, and keeps taking a deep breath and jumping into new things anyway. I don’t sit still much! Yoga and meditation keep me grounded.

I am a part of the queer community, and married to my partner of 27 years. I identify as Buddhist. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New York State. I’ve worked for the Advocacy Center, the Teen Pregnancy Parenting Program, Cornell Counseling Services, and three different Hospice and and Palliative Care programs, including one that served ill children and their families. I received my Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Cornell University in 1992, and my Master of Social Work from SUNY Albany in 1998. For 15 years I also owned Felicia’s Atomic Lounge and Felicia’s Atomic Brewhouse & Bakery with my partner.
